I applied for the GAPP (Graduate Asia Pacific Programme) in Brisbane, Australia in 2001. As part of the programme, I worked in Commercial Investments for six months then spent another six months in Valuation & Advisory. After which, I was relocated to Sydney for one year where I did office CBD leasing. In September 2002, I was relocated to Hong Kong, where I spent 4.5 years working for commercial leasing in the Kowloon market. The programme was absolutely fantastic and I have learnt so much in a very short period of time. Being allowed to move from the various departments every six months or so has helped expose me to the various parts of our business, management and our broad breadth of clients. 

I felt I gained a lot personally as well. Not once did I ever feel like I wasn't an integral part of any of the teams I was in, and I was forced to grow up quickly which was great. I gained a lot from the various departments I worked in and the experiences I picked up along the way. It has also allowed me to be exposed to various parts of our business and work out what I liked best and where I could add value to the Firm. It has been a very good experience and I have also gained some lifelong friends along the way.
